Lincoln’s youngest ever councillor has said the city needs to be a safer and more enjoyable space for teenagers.
Adrianna McNulty was just 18 when she was elected to the Moorland ward in 2012.
Now, she says she still understands why teenagers across the city sometimes feel they don’t have many places to go.
But she added she has worked closely with the Moorlands Youth and Community Centre as well as local schools and churches over the last 13 years to ensure that there are now “less children hanging around in the street”.
The councillor has lived and worked in the ward her whole life, and her whole family was involved in local politics through her own childhood.
“I was already quite involved,” she said of her election success as a teenager.
