The 2018-2021 Community Risk Register has been published by the Lincolnshire Resilience Forum. The list aims to help the emergency services and authorities to be prepared for emergency situations in the county.
Under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, Category 1 respondents have a statutory duty to publish their risk assessments, to the extent necessary to reduce the impact of an emergency on the community.
Paula Danville who is the Senior Emergency Planning Officer at Lincolnshire County Council said: “The top risks for Lincolnshire are made up of a combination of the very high and high risks.”
Each risk on the list is assessed by The Risk Assessment Working Group (RAWG) and rated from very high to low risk, all of the emergency services and authorities are members of RAWG.
“The work is continuous and plans are written to mitigate the risks identified.” said Cllr Danville.
