Lincolnshire’s very own ‘Nürburgring’ are hosting the Vintage Motorsport Festival at Cadwell Park on April 16.
It is mainly a racing event, however the paddock will be open all day – allowing visitors to view rare & historic pre-war machinery. Along with Cadwell Park, the Vintage Sports Car Club will be hosting the event.
Up to 100 cars dating back to as far as 1920 will battle it out at the Cadwell Park circuit, competing for the Shuttleworth & Nuffield trophies.
Vintage Sports Car Club Secretary Tania Brown said: “We cannot wait for this year’s Vintage Motorsport Festival; we’re expecting people in their thousands along with about 200 competitors. Having the first race of the year at Cadwell and without any COVID restrictions, it should be fantastic.”
Having enjoyed a long and celebrated history at places like Cadwell Park and Oulton Park for almost 50 years, the club will hope this year will provide another arena for people to enjoy the timeless era of vintage motorsport.
Tom Arron at Cadwell Park said: “Things are all a bit manic right now! Everyone at the circuit is preparing for a busy and enjoyable event.”
The gates will open at 8am on April 16, with the full event timetable to be published approximately two weeks before the event.
Tickets are available to be purchased now at cadwellpark.co.uk; with prices at £19 for adults, £12 for teenagers aged 13-15 & free entry for those under 13.
