Lincoln City boss Chris Sutton has captured the signatures of Aston Villa defenders Nathan Baker and Eric Lichaj on one month loan deals to bolster his squad ahead of Saturday’s League Two clash against Torquay tomorrow.
England under 19 international Baker is a centre-half, whilst 20 year-old left-back Lichaj has played for the States at youth level.
Winger Khano Smith has also been given clearance to make his debut at Sincil Bank on Saturday after penning a short-term deal until January. The 28-year-old signed after a five-week trial with the Imps following his release from MLS side New York Red Bulls and is expected to go straight into Sutton’s squad.
City are looking to bounce back after their one-nil defeat against Northampton last weekend after two straight wins under former Premiership striker Sutton took over the reigns last month.
Sutton said he is looking forward to seeing his new arrivals in action as he looked ahead to tomorrow’s match. To listen to audio from yesterday’s press conference click on the below.
