Student Union's Amelia Hinton Discusses Her Goals For This Year

The Reclaim the Night march returns to Lincoln aiming to raise awareness of violence against people on the streets.

Hosted by Amelia Hinton, 21, one of the elected student leaders at the Students Union, shares her wish to focus more on “safety to all,” as it is not just about women’s safety in this day and age.

Originally founded in 1977, this march has spread across the UK, starting in Lincoln seven years ago it has continued to be a great success each year, “last year we had around 550 attendees, and this year we have had around 800 join us.”
