Census questionnaires have been arriving in the post this week and by census day on March 27th every household in the England and Wales will have one.
The census is a form that has to be filled in every 10 years and is full of questions about jobs and where you live. It is important to capture the whole population as accurately as possible as this means local authorities and charities are better equipped to understand the services that are needed.
Andy Howlett, census 2011 manager for Lincoln, explains why the census is important to fill out and how the myth about the filling in Jedi would make it a religion isn’t true.
