Starlight Pantomimes

Its Christmas time and that means just one thing. It’s the pantomime season and the children at the Lincoln County Hospital were treated to a special pantomime performance from the children’s charity Starlight Pantomimes. Claire Farr, the companies tour manager told me about the work Starlight does.

“Starlight is a national charity that grants wishes to terminally ill children from around the nation and each year we do a pantomime tour around hospitals.

“This Christmas we are putting on a performance of Dick Whittington for the children.”

For some of the children, this performance is the only glimpse of a pantomime they will get to see, as many of them will be staying in hospital over the Christmas period. Donna Wilkinson, the Play Leader on the Rushton Ward say’s the children love the performances.

“This is the second time Starlight have visited the ward and the children love it. They sing and dance and enjoy getting involved.”

Starlight Pantomimes are currently touring hospitals around the country.
