Sleaford Town manager Matt Evans has said being appointed as coach is something he has “always wanted to do”, following the clubs announcement.
The former Lincoln United assistant manager and Bottesford Town head coach was unveiled by the Greens following the departure of player-manager Tom Ward.
The club has also come under a time of change behind-the-scenes, with Damon Tunnicliffe and Josh Donner taking over as Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectfully.
On the difference between assistant coach at Lincoln United and head coach at Sleaford, Evans said: “At Lincoln we had a real pressure to get out the division, whereas here at Sleaford we have some lads that have never played at this level before, but we had experience all over the park at Lincoln.
“It’s very different pressures and expectations, and a different approach.”
