Jimmy Savile’s headstone has been removed and dumped following alleged sex cases.
The late DJ is said to have targeted 25 girls over a period dating back to 1959.
His family requested the removal of the headstone out of respect to public opinion.
This all follows the Metropolitan Police’s decision to separate 120 lines of inquiry after recording eight allegations against the Leeds – born entertainer, these of which including two rape accusations.
Alex Lewczuk, a Tutor at the university of Lincoln worked with Savile several times and spoke to LSJ News;
”I never worked in person with Jimmy but knew him all the same. They are disturbing allegations, rock and roll has consistently had a history of celebrities marrying young girls but this is a completely different issue. It is very sad.
I can understand the wishes of Jimmy Savile’s family to have the headstone removed. It is very unfortunate. I am just dissapointed.”
