The Prince’s Trust is a free programme run by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue. It is a 12 week course for people aged 16 to 25.
Activities include team challenges, caving and climbing, community work and careers guidance.
The aim of the course is to provide an opportunity to develop skills essential for success. Many of the participants come from disadvantaged backgrounds and the course helps turn their lives around.
Almost three-quarters of the people who take part go on to jobs, training or education within three months of completing the fun and challenging course.
The programme does not affect job seekers allowance and is a portfolio based qualification with no exams to sit, with the opportunity to complete two weeks worth of work experience.
Dates for 2014 have been revealed. There will be eight courses available at different times and locations throughout the year.
The dates for another four courses starting later this year in September will be released shortly.
