Over 3,000 homes and properties in Lincoln were left without electricity today after a fault on the power grid. The buildings affected are supplied by E-on, who have reported the problem to be a “high voltage” fault.
Power blackouts began in the morning on Thursday, November 25th, with residents in the Doddington Park area hit by power outage around 10:30am.
Richard Smith, a resident affected by the blackout, said: “It’s a very cold day to not have the heating there, I hope they sort it out soon.”
Electricity was restored to approximately 2,000 affected properties around 12:10, and then to a further 200 by 12;30. As of 13:10 another 150 had been restored, with 884 still without power at the time of publishing.
