This week, Lincoln’s very own Japan Festival is being celebrated throughout the city. The festival, which is now in its second year, is an opportunity for individuals to learn about the traditions of another country.
Lincoln Japan Festival consists of multiple different workshops which take place in locations across the city. Members of the public can get involved in traditional Japanese calligraphy, flower arranging and drumming, all whilst learning about the culture.
Blue Print Film Foundation, who organise the festival and the professionals who offer their expertise hope that the event will introduce Lincoln to cultural experiences that those living in the western world don’t get to take part in very often.
