Despite festivals such as 2000 Tree’s and Boomtown having to cancel their events this summer due to the lack of a government-backed insurance policy, organisers of Lincoln hard rock festival Call of the Wild have reassured gig-goers that they will go ahead as planned.
The festival will see names such as classic rock newcomers Inglorious and Massive Wagons come to the Lincolnshire Showground this July.
Talking to director Raz White, he said: “We don’t wanna give people false hope, but we as a team feel 100 per cent confident everything is going to go ahead in July.”
“It’s gonna be one of, if not the first, big open-air festival since lockdown,” White continued. “We just want everyone to come and have a great time.”
The festival was initially scheduled to go ahead in September 2020 but has had to be rescheduled twice due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
