People who live in Sincil Bank have been conflicted by a new mural created by an international, French-born artist, Zabou.
The mural was commissioned by Student Housing as part of a community-driven art development called The Sincil Bank Art Project, in the hope to improve the atheistic appeal of the area.
Harry Conti founded the project and works for Student Housing. He said: “People seem to really get behind the project and have shown a lot of love for it.”
Harry decided to focus this project on Sincil Bank as he believes the area is significantly under-invested.
“It’s nice to spend some money on the area and show it some love. I totally get it is not for everyone but the positive outweighs the negative.”
Local resident, Brooke Barker said: “I think it’s a beautiful piece of art however, Student Housing should put the money towards something more useful and beneficial to the area.
“There are bigger issues throughout the area that need to be dealt with like fly-tipping.
“Making it look pretty for a couple of weeks won’t solve the bigger issues.”
