Lincoln’s colourful Moroccan market has been extended due to its unprecedented success.
The 38 traders were due to pack up last Sunday, yet organisers Lincoln BIG have decided to extend the event until the end of Wednesday.
The market sells a variety of items including authentic wood, jewellery, leather goods, slippers, pottery and candles, and is also host to a ‘traditional Gwana band’.
Traders have been selling their goods in Berber style tents and claim to bring ‘the sights and sounds of a Moroccan Souk’ to Lincoln.
The event is part of a national ‘Moroccan Market of Handicrafts Tour’ which is visiting 15 other cities.
Lincoln BIG have also decided to hold the event again, allowing it to return from the 1st until 22nd of December.
