A number of MA students of restoration and conservation have taken part in a big salvage operation in order to help learn what to do if important documents are flooded.
The emergency exercise took place at Chad Varah, at the top of Steep Hill, and lasted for about an hour and a half.
The 18 students that took part we separated into two teams and the aim of the exercise was to learn how to deal with a number of wet historic objects – with the students needing to decide how (and where) to dry them as well as documenting any damage.
