Now an exclusive for LSJ News!
Two very rarely bred donkeys have taken residence in Alford, Lincolnshire. The wild animals are half donkey, half zebra and form a rare animal called a ‘Zedonk’. The half brothers have been living at Radcliff Donkey Sanctuary for four months and they are approaching two years of age.
The Zedonks have joined a large family of other donkeys, ponies, horses, chickens, cats and many more at the sanctuary. As they are still young and wild, they cannot interact with the other donkeys in the opposite field, however the volunteers said they play all day.
Our reporters Jessica Brierley and Holly Finch went along to get a kick out of the rare species.
