Pensioners in Lincoln have been given a new lease of life by exploring the wonders of the World Wide Web.
Age Concern in the city, runs a regular programme called ‘Silver Surfers’, which teaches elderley people how to use computers and the internet.
The popularity of the classes has increased in recent years, with teacher Barry Kirk estimating that he has taught around 500 people during the period that the scheme has been running.
A small fee is asked of the people who attend the classes, which allows the surfers to gain access to the computers.
