With the Olympics around the corner, many sports clubs throughout Lincoln are encouraging members to join in and take part.
The Crusaders Table Tennis club in Lincoln is no exception.
Despite members of the club having played the sport for years, they feel that a lack of media coverage is preventing the sport from receiving the new members it deserves.
Great Britain doesn’t tend to do too well when it comes to table tennis in the Olympics, because of this, media coverage tends to focus on other sports such as rowing and cycling.
Back in 1977 the world championship was broadcast in Birmingham, at which time this sport club had an influx of members, reaching 10 divisions as opposed to only two it has now.
The club hopes for more coverage of the sport so they can once again welcome more members to their club.
