Apprentices in Lincoln are donning their overalls for National Apprenticeship Week.
Paint has been donated to help young apprentices transform a room at Lincoln Integrated Domestic Abuse services.
The apprentices also plan on holding a cake sale later in the week to raise money for the charity.
Caroline Ashman from the City of Lincoln council says she thinks the week is very beneficial for the trainees: “They’re getting out into the community and putting something back. It gives them that experience of fundraising and doing something for the community.”
‘In terms of project management they’ve done it all themselves, they’ve contacted the charity, arranged to come here and they’ve arranged the dress down and cake sale day on Friday.’
National Apprenticeship Week is now in its fifth year and many Lincoln charities have benefitted from the work the apprentices have done.
