Lincoln will hope to make it seven wins in eight as they travel to Aldershot Town on Tuesday night.
The Imps, sitting in their season’s highest position of 13th, are just eight points off the play-offs and are one of the form teams of the division. They also have at least one game in hand of the majority of the teams above them.
Aldershot themselves will be no easy opponents as they sit three places below City, however the Shots are in bad form having not won in four, drawing their last three games.
Steve Tilson’s men have a few injury worries ahead of the clash with defensive duo Stephen Hunt and Gavin Hoyte racing to be fit in time and on loan Julian Kelly having already been ruled out with a thigh injury.
In contrast, Aldershot have almost a full team to choose from, with Luke Gutteridge and Ben Herd having returned tot he bench for their weekend draw against relegation threatened Macclesfield.
A win could see the Imps rise to the 10th in the league with just under half the season left to go. If Lincoln can make it eight wins out of nine, City fans will start to dream of the play-offs, something which seemed impossible just two months ago. Tilson’s men, however, will be taking each game as it comes as they aim to continue thier good form.
