It’s world poetry day today and so we teamed up with local people in Lincoln to celebrate the work of a local poet.
Lord Alfred Tennyson wrote the poem ‘Charge of the Light Brigade’ which was based on a battle in the Crimean War. However, not everyone will know that he was born in Somersby, Lincolnshire.
