Lincoln born musician Ian Brough, is set to release a second album this year.
Ian’s album entitled Car crashes and Part Time Lesbians, follows a second collaboration with local producer and fellow musician, Sam Harrison.
He said that this album is a lot different to his first, Surrounded by Autism and Comforting Lights released last year, including the use of a number of other musicians across Lincoln.
“I always involve my friends in this, I’ve got Roxy singing on Merial Mains. We’ve got everyone from my music scene singing on the song Abbey Road Kinda Guy. Anyone you would see is pretty much on this album,” said Ian.
Ian also said that he wouldn’t have been as successful without the help of Sam Harrison, the owner of record company, Xclamation Music.
“Since working with Sam, he’s the only one to have put faith in me, and from then I’ve been selling well on ITunes and Tesco and I make my living from music now,” said Ian.
However, Sam Harrison said that Ian’s own talents have played a huge part in his accomplishments: “He’s something really really special, he has the ability to write songs that will stay in your head for days.”
Ian continues to play various gigs around Lincoln, so, will you go and see one of Lincoln’s very own accomplished musicians?
