Council tax in Lincoln is set to rise by 1.91% unless tonight’s City Council meeting ends in a shock defeat for the proposals.
In real terms, this means a £4.67 hike for middle band (D) households – taking the price to £249.75 for the 2015/16 tax year.
The increase has been supported by Councillors and will be voted on at a full council meeting this evening.
The money raised from council tax pays for services like bin collections and health inspections.
Councillors will vote on a rise in parking rates in the city at the same meeting.
