Lincolnshire cafe sees success with new night time bistro

The Plant Pot Cafe in Nettleham reopened it's doors to customers on the 21st of June and has been recieving a rave community response.

The family run cafe which has been open for the past few years has taken a bold step forward, not just serving breakfast, lunch and sandwiches in the day anymore but becoming an intimate restaurant by night.

The cafe has turned its cosy space into a lush, sophisticated environment with planted herbs hanging from baskets in the windows and with a new outdoor seating area.

The new menu comes from the cafes head chef Alex Woolley who has taken inspiration from a number of his favourite restaurant’s up and down the country, serving classic dishes with a modern twist.

Dishes on the evening menu include such things as pan seared duck breast, crispy pork belly, wild mushroom risoto and a familiar dish for any Lincolnshire foodie a Browns pie of the week.

Jacqui Thompson the cafes owner said: “People are still scared to come out and obviously this means we’re no where near pre Covid numbers, but the bistro has taken off really well.”

“We’ve been doubling the numbers week on week, we’ve not really been advertising it too much as we want to make sure we get it right and not oversell ourselves but people are really supporting us and the new bistro.”
