With the festive season looming, people will be partying and celebrating more than usual.
Before you drink too much, maybe you should stop and think…Statistics have found that one in eight people in Lincolnshire drink to potentially harmful levels.
This week also represents National Alcohol Awareness Week and people are beginning to campaign against alcoholism in the county.
The week aims to inform people about the support they can get from organisations, if they’re struggling with alcohol abuse.
Companies such as Alcoholics Anonymous, a national help group and Drugs and Alcohol Recovery Team, set up by the Lincolnshire Partnership Trust are available for people to go for confidential advice and are attempting to encourage people to come forward and accept advice about alcohol.
With binge drinkers and alcoholics increasing in Lincolnshire the campaigning hopes to lower this figure by counselling those in need.
