Lincoln City not expecting postponements despite Coronavirus fears.
Lincoln City media manager Terry Hibberd has said they aren’t expecting any games to be called off during the rest of the season, despite the growing threat of Coronavirus.
There’s currently 90 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in the UK and there are growing concerns about how it could affect sporting events.
However, Lincoln City media manager Terry Hibberd said they’ve had no information about games possibly being called off.
He said, “The club are governed by the EFL so we’re just waiting for information like everyone else.”
“At the moment we’ve had no information about any games being called off in the future.”
In Italy, it was confirmed yesterday that all Serie A matches will be played behind closed doors until April 3rd to try and limit the spread of the virus.
This decision comes after eight Serie A fixtures have been postponed in the last two weeks.
Other sports have also been affected, both the women’s and men’s six nation games between England and Italy have been postponed. They were due to be played in Rome next weekend.
Earlier in the week, England cricket captain Joe Root said the team have stopped shaking hands with each other in training to try and protect themselves from the virus.
