A new football league has been set up for emergency services across the East Midlands.
The league will see various branches of ambulance, police and fire services from over the region compete.
Lincolnshire East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) played their first match on 8th October against Lincoln Police at Sleaford Town stadium.
Paramedic Sam Burke, who set up the Lincolnshire EMAS team said: “I’m trying to get as many people as I can interested, I think there’s about 36 people currently interested. It’s hard with shift work but we’re trying to get people to weekly training sessions.”
Lincolnshire EMAS vice-captain, Sarah Harper said: “I think it’s going to be quite positive. It’s something different to do, an escape from work and it’s just a good teamwork building thing.”
