A City of Lincoln councillor has recommended young people should get involved in local politics as a way to feel “fulfilled.”
Councillor Rebecca Longbottom has represented the Castle ward for the past five years.
She said: “I became a councillor because I thought I could make a positive difference. I wouldn’t swap it for anything.”
Among her proudest moments have been helping with the decisions on the new housing development in Tritton Road.
One of the next steps, she says, will be to create a community space there where people can meet.
