Gainsborough Trinity seal a history-making win to reach the FA Cup first round.
It is the first time the Holy Blues have managed to get to that stage of the competition since 2017. They beat Boston United, from two divisions above, in a replay away from home.
The initial game finished level thanks to a 98th minute equaliser from the Pilgrims, while goals from Declan Howe, Lewis Butroid and Fraser Preston sealed a remarkable 4-0 win in the re-run of the tie.
Trinity manager Russ Wilcox said: “It’s a huge moment, especially after Saturday, the way it’s panned out. I was lower than a snake’s belly on Saturday, I must admit.
“To do what we have done for the town, for the club, for the board, it’s just a magical night.”
