During the 21st to 27th January, a festival of Japanese culture is being held at Bishop Grosseteste University College independent cinema, Venue.
Blueprint: Film Foundation, Lincoln based film company, are producing the event to educate and celebrate the culture and share it with Lincoln.
The event will showcase two Japanese films- Akira (1988) and Pigs and Battleships (1961). It was also have guest speaker, international expert of Japanese cinema, Jasper Sharp.
During the week, there will be an exhibition of Japanese inspired art from local Japanese artist Kaoru Shimada. It’s located at Cafe Portico, on the ground floor of The Terrace, Lincoln.
Alongside the films, there will also be artists, musicians, traditional martial arts, food and drink.
