Ruston’s took the lead inside the third minute through Andy Janssen, but two quick goals from Dominic Beal and Kobe Grayson saw Theddo Lions turn the game around.

Ten minutes later a wonderful strike from Andy Janssen brought Ruston’s level.

Three goals in three minutes were to follow for the boys in blue dominating the game and taking back the lead comfortably.

Martin Langtry, Manager of Ruston’s Sports, said: “I’m really delighted to progress to the third round of the cup in such a professional manner.

“We are disappointed to concede two goals, but to put nine past a good Theddo Lions side shows our intent for the rest of the season and cup run.

“We know the league title is too far out of reach so hopefully we can go all the way in the county cup and win it.”
