St. Barnabas Hospice Torchlight Procession was cancelled last week due to the weather creating a health and safety issue for marchers.
Disappointed attendees stood in the rain to admire the unlit Christmas tree and remember their loved ones.
Mr and Mrs Gwenneth of Wolverhampton travelled to see the procession in memory of their daughter who was in St.Barnabas Hospice on Nettleham Road.
“I can understand the police, because of the wind if it breaks the tree and hits the crowd.” said Mr Gwenneth.
As temperatures drop, are Lincoln prepared for the next big event… the Christmas market. Last year the market was cancelled on Sunday as an amber warning for snow was put in place.
