It started out as a game designed to pass time for iPhone users. But it has slowly spread to be one of the most popular games of the year. And now it is to get its place on the big screens of the Xbox and Playstation worlds.
When Angry Birds was made available for the Android phone market in October, it had over one million downloads on the first day. This has resulted in its mother company Rovio leading the game into the console market.
Rovio chief executive Peter Vesterbacka has called the smartphone market “the biggest and most played out there” and now intends to take the Angry Birds game one step higher.
