A competition is being held for school children to design a Christmas card.
Councillor Pat Vaughan organised the competition for Primary school children, which will allow a lucky winner to turn on Lincoln’s Christmas lights.
The aim of the competition is to design a new Christmas card with the theme, ‘What does Christmas in Lincoln mean to you?’
The winning card will be sold in and around Lincoln, and help raise money for a local charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Designs can use crayons, paints, glitter, and any other material that will give the card a festive design.
The winner will turn on the Christmas lights alongside Mayor Chris Buetler, and ‘Allo ‘Allo actress Sue Hodge, who played waitress Mimi Labonq.
LSJ News reporter Phil Eginton asked Charlie Powell to describe what she was looking for in entries.
