Organised by the Religious Education Council of England and Wales, the month celebrates the importance of RE in schools and hopes to raise awareness or a rather neglected topic.
Rachel Dalton spoke to Professor Brian Gates of the University of Cumbria and chair of the RE council, who says the relevance of religious education is underestimated.
