Popular rock band Bad Day Blues Band will be returning to Lincolnshire this weekend as they play the Lincolnshire Tavern.

Bad Day Blues Band are set to perform a social distanced gig at the Lincolnshire Tavern on Sunday November 1st. Adam Rigg, the lead singer said: “We’ve played at the Hope Tavern a couple of times before and although a relatively cosy venue, it’s always busy and full of  very knowledgeable and friendly music fans.”

The band who in 2019, played the prestigious Isle of White Festival, have been labelled as ones to watch by many in the music industry including the BBC.

The coronavirus pandemic has affected the music industry significantly., Adam Rigg, the lead singer of the band said, “Aside from financial aspects, not being able to be on stage and having the buzz of playing life has been extremely tough for us this year.” Earlier this month the arts and music industry received £257 million in order to save theatres and music venues. This being said only £600 thousand of the money went into Lincolnshire.

Although the social distanced gig will be a first to the band, it isn’t a first to the Lincolnshire Tavern. Last month he popular venue played host to the James Oliver Band, in what was deemed a success by all that visited.

The restart of gigs even in a social distanced capacity has been seen by many as the first step of getting back to some sort of normality. Adam Rigg, the lead singer of the band said: “Believe it or not we haven’t played a social distanced gig yet, we’re excited to see what the vibe is like. Bring it on”.
