Lincolnshire County Council will be expanding the Access LN6 scheme by branching out to the rest of the city as ‘Access Lincoln’.
Funding for the £4.9 million project from the Department for Transport’s Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF), which saw the introduction of services such as public hire bikes, is due to end on the 31st of March.
At an event at The Bentley in South Hykeham, Lincolnshire County Council celebrated the success and achievement of its sustainable transport project, with five awards handed out in representation for the different areas of work undertaken by the Access LN6 team.
Plans to embed sustainable travel into the ethos of local businesses is one of the key elements of the new Access Lincoln, working alongside Lincoln BIG, Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce and Grow LN6 to review and improve travel plans.
