Students from the University of Lincoln can run for one of nine Student Officer positions. The positions are voluntary, and give a voice to students on how thier union is run.
The nine Student Officer positions are;
- Sports Officer
- Societies Officer
- Events Officer
- RAG Officer
- Liberation Officer
- Campaigns Officer
- Riseholme Officer
- Hull Officer
- Holbeach Officer
The Student Union elections are what makes the University a democratic community. Student’s decide who represents them in the Union, and the Union decides the best way to spend funding to benefit students.
Social events, sports and societies fascilities, and University fascilities such as the 24 hour library scheme, are all issues dealt with by the student union.
Each candidate for a part time Student Officer needs to submit a 500 word manifesto outlining who they are and how they want to represent the students.
The Student Union also has four full time paid Sabbatical Officer positions open. Only members of the Student Union are able to apply for these roles which would meen taking a year out of University if the candidate has not graduated.
The Sabbatical Officer positions are;
- Student Union President
- Vice President Activities
- Vice President Academic Affairs
- Vice President Welfare and Diversity
