Everyone knows Lincolnshire is famous for its sausages and this week the eighth national sausage week is taking place.
The event kicked off on Saturday with the free sausage festival being held in Lincoln’s Castle Grounds. The event attracted over 10,000 people, which is far more than last year!
Cookery demonstrations, face painting and live entertainment kept the crowd engaged. Along with traditional pork sausages other flavours including wild boar, chilli, smoked bacon and black pudding were on offer.
The week-long event has meant many local butchers are getting involed. Ken Roberts from Elite Meats spoke to LSJ News reporter Natasha Keech about what they are doing for National sausage week.
