Christmas magic will not be ending in Lincoln any time soon, Lincoln Castle will be hosting a new event which will be open between 15 and 22 of December.
The emporium will feature a Victorian themed lightshow, which will be the main attraction of the event. All the staff working during the event will be selling arts, crafts, gifts a food and drink locally sourced. There will also be a cosy tipi bar.
Castle manager Kimberley Vickers said: “What better place to celebrate the magic of Christmas with your family and friends than historic Lincoln Castle.”
Advanced sales for the event is proving to be successful with numerous tickets already being sold. The emporium has attracted a vast amount of people, including those from as far as America, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
The lightshow which is the heart of the event will be repeated throughout the evening, and Santa will also be there for any children who come to the event. Santa will be ready to listen to any Christmas wishes from anyone who visits the event.
The event will be incredibly child friendly as well as a good family experience for all who attend.
Mary Smith, mother of two said: “I think it is a great event, my family didn’t get to go to the Christmas market because I have very young children, so I think that the event will be really great for them to see.”
Kimberley said: “You can also enjoy the spectacular evening views from our Medieval Wall Walk, along with great food and drink and Christmas cheer.”
After the success of the Christmas market over the weekend, Lincoln is not letting go of the Christmas magic and will hope that this event is as successful so that it can hopefully become an annual event.
Tickets for the Christmas Emporium will cost £7.50 for adults, £6.50 for concessions and £5 for children. Family tickets for the event are also available and will cost £20, and those who have an annual pass will be able to get in for free.
During the eight days that the event will be going on for, any ticket holders can visit the emporium as many times as they want.
To coincide with the emporium Lincoln Castle will also be hosting a visit with Father Christmas which will run from 15 until the 23 of December
