Support for stopping smoking is now easier to get hold of than ever before.
Throughout October, smokers have been getting involved with the nationwide NHS Stoptober campaign. In Lincolnshire, the month has been overseen by Phoenix Stop Smoking Service.
Around 170 people signed up in the area to take part in Stoptober this month and many more have taken on the challenge as indivduals.

She says that it is never too late to give up. She said: “There are lots of easy ways to get into the service. We have advisors based in pharmacies and GP practices throughout the county.”
She added: “We’re around all year. We have particuarly busy times but we are around to support people all year.”
