Tonights Christmas Lights will be switched on by pantomine characters Cinderella and Buttoat Lincoln’s St Mark’s shopping centre as part of a family event.
The free event is being run in conujunction with local radio station Lincs FM and presented by radio presenter John Marshall. Performers from the Drill Hall theatre production of Cinderella will be attending the switch on event which starts at 5pm and runs until 7pm.
The evening will also feature live music and entertainment, games, competitions, performances by dancers from Lincoln College and performances from the cast of Lincoln Drill Hall’s Cinderella.
Other stores will also provide entertainment at St Mark’s such as Argos, Café M, Lakeland, Tesco Express, The Entertainer, Toys R Us, Pizza Hut, Toby Carvery and PixiFoto. They will be providing various things from free food and drink samples to special offers and demonstrations.
Last year’s event featured ITV weatherman Jon Mitchell as the main guest who switched on the lights and this years switch on event hopes to get everyone in the mood for christmas.
