A new charity helping veterans has opened a new office in Newark.
The Combat After Care Charity opened it’s latest branch this week – hoping to help local ex armed forces personnel.
The organisation specialises in helping people transitioning out of the armed forces who have committed a crime helping them to be rehabilitated within local communities.
Comedian Jim Davis, former soldier Simon Weston and biker Gary Goose Cryer are the charity’s founders who run the service on behalf of the government.
Newark’s MP was also at the launch. Conservative Robert Jenrick thinks we are not good enough in this country at transitioning members of our armed forces.
