A local Lincolnshire gym is encouraging women to swap their oven gloves for their boxing gloves, as they raise awareness of female boxing.

Boxing can be seen by some people as a great way to build confidence, as well as a chance to learn self defence. However, boxing is a male dominated sport and some local gyms are trying to change this.

LSJ News reporter, Nicola Blake, spoke to full-time student and trainee boxer Besma Ayari, who has been training for many years now and is one of the few female boxers in Lincoln.
