Plans for a new restaurant on the Brayford were met with protests over the weekend, with locals voicing their opposition to the proposed new establishment.
These protests came in the form of a floatilla of boats, led by protest organiser Peter Slater, who took to the water to dispute the new eatery.
Although the proposed development would replace the existing viewing platform which has long been seen as unsafe, the protest group argue that another restaurant is not needed in an area already populated by so many.
The local council hope to reach a decision with planning permission before the busy Christmas period.
Why has the existing viewing platform been allowed to become unsafe ?
Will the new restaurant be allowed to sink to enable yet another new development in 10 years time ?
Why not fill the Brayford Pool in now and build a shopping mall ?
