Lincolnshire FA have won the County FA award at the Football vs Homophobia awards for the third year in a row.
The organisation has been at the forefront of work in the Lincolnshire community to tackle discrimination in football for several years.
Zack Leader, media and marketing officer with the association, attended the awards at the Oràn Mór in Glasgow.
He said: “Winning the award for the third consecutive year is an incredible honour and a testament to our unwavering commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion in football.”
Mr Leader, the associations’ LGBTQ+ ambassador, added: “We believe that football should be a game for everyone, and be accessible to everyone, and this recognition reinforces the impact of our efforts to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment across the county.
“This award motivates us to continue our work, and we look forward to building on this progress in the years to come.”

He also helped set up the county’s first LGBTQ+ football team at Lincoln United in December 2023.
Mayci Harrison, a regular Lincoln United LGBTQ+ player, said: “I think it’s brilliant they are taking a step towards football being more inclusive.
“Football has always been an important part of my life, however it is not always accessible or welcoming to everyone.
“Having a safe space to meet new people who share a similar experience and appreciation of the sport is extremely valuable to us. It’s refreshing to enjoy football regardless of ability or identity.”
Despite success, Lincolnshire FA say they are already working towards retaining their award – for a fourth year – in 2026.
