Lincoln level crossing stops on High Street

Lincoln High Street’s level crossing barriers stopped working on Monday 26th October, causing major traffic delays.

The traffic could be seen backing up down the High Street, and people had to walk for longer distances to the city centre and take alternative routes to avoid the chaos.

The barriers were broken for around an hour until they reopened just after 7am.
