Following the Men’s Roller Derby World Cup earlier this year, participation in the sport is increasing according to Lincoln Imposters captain, Kirsty Johnson.
The Imposters only played their first game a year ago, but the number of people taking part is continuing to grow as they prepare to host their annual fresh meat intake.
Johnson said: “We’re trying to improve all of the time, so it’s always good to be able to get new faces in and get more people involved.
“After our fresh meat intake last year, a lot of the girls who came decided to come back again, so hopefully more people come along this year and see that roller derby is a great way of having fun whilst keeping fit.”
The intake takes place at Yarborough Leisure Centre at 4pm on the 2nd November and is open to anyone over the age of 18 looking to get involved.
