As people around the world remember those lost through the Holocaust, Lincoln will today be hosting events to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day.
Holocaust Memorial Day Trust mark the remembrance on 27th January, as it marks marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp.
In Lincoln, St John the Baptist Church was selected by the trust to light 1 of 70 candles that will be lit across the country at 4.30 this afternoon.
Rev. Stephen Hoy said: “We are delighted to be selected as the only venue in Lincolnshire to host an event of this kind.”
